David Sides
Chief Executive Officer
Bio
David was appointed as Chief Executive Officer for NextGen Healthcare, effective September 22, 2021. He brings a breadth of global commercial and operations experience leading premier healthcare technology companies to the role.He most recently served as Chief Operating Officer at Teladoc Health, the global leader in virtual care, where he led the Company’s worldwide commercial and operations teams. During his tenure, Teladoc’s revenues doubled in 2020 and are currently on track to exceed $2 billion in 2021. Previously, he served as CEO of Streamline Health, which offers revenue cycle management solutions for healthcare providers. David led the full-scale turnaround of Streamline Health, growing revenue, EBITDA and cash flow organically. Prior to that, he was recruited by TPG to serve as CEO of iMDsoft, an Israeli headquartered provider of clinical information systems and electronic medical records for critical, perioperative and acute care organizations. Under David’s leadership, iMDsoft delivered a more than 30% increase in revenue while investing in new systems and processes.
Earlier in his career, David worked for Cerner Corporation, a leading supplier of health information technology services, devices and hardware, from 1995-2012. Among other roles, he served as Senior Vice President, World Wide Consulting, where he led Cerner’s professional services in 24 countries and owned global P&L and functional responsibilities from sales through implementation for the business. At Cerner, he created new methodologies for deployment, new service lines and development plans for 3,500 associates, growing the consulting business from $643 million in 2008 to $1.031 billion in 2012.
David is a former director at EMIS Group, a major provider of healthcare software, information technology and related services in the UK, and at Streamline Health. He is a Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives.
David holds a bachelor’s degree in biophysics from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MBA and MHA from the University of Missouri, Columbia.
James Arnold Jr.
CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER AND EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT
Bio
Jamie was appointed to the post of Chief Financial Officer for NextGen Healthcare, effective March 1, 2016, bringing more than three decades of finance and software technology experience to the role.From June 2010 to May 2015, Jamie served as the Chief Financial Officer and an executive board member at Kofax Ltd., a software company based in Irvine, California, where he led finance, accounting, IT, real estate, treasury, audit, tax, and investor relations. He was instrumental in the completion and integration of six acquisitions and disposition of the hardware distribution business. Additionally, he oversaw the company's US initial public offering and transition from a listing on the London Stock Exchange. As a key member of management, he participated in and facilitated the strategic process resulting in the sale of its Enterprise Software division, focused on integration and transition matters.
During his tenured career, Jamie held a multitude of roles with Nuance Communications, Inc., a publicly traded software company based in Burlington, Massachusetts, including Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. During his time there, Nuance acquired 17 companies and completed several debt and secondary stock offerings.
Earlier, Jamie held executive positions at Cadence Design Systems, Inc., Informix Software, Inc., and Centura Software Corp. He served as a board member and the chair of the audit committee at Selectica, Inc. from 2003 to 2010. In 2010, he served as the cochairman of the board. He began his career at PriceWaterhouse LLP.
Jamie holds a master of business administration from Loyola University and a bachelor of business administration in Finance from Delta State University.
Donna Greene
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT OF HUMAN RESOURCES
Bio
Donna was named our executive vice president of Human Resources on December 5, 2017, bringing more than 20 years of human resources experience to her role. Under her direction, the company transitioned to a shared services platform, whereby all employees nationwide leverage and benefit from the resources built at the corporate office by Donna and her team.Prior to joining NextGen Healthcare, Donna was the corporate director of Human Resources for Alliance Healthcare Services, where she focused on employee services for physicians and healthcare workers in the oncology and diagnostic imaging space.
Before embarking on an HR-focused career, Donna worked in retail operations, which led to her first HR role. She began employment with Target as an HR manager and worked her way up to a regional HR professional, focused on employee relations. Later, she became the director of HR for Cendant as well as the chief people officer for a small human capital consulting firm.
Donna's work has spanned a broad array of industries and companies of all sizes. She has secured a proven track record of designing programs to continually improve the working environment, and creating policies that bring that vision to life.
Donna is currently earning a bachelor of science in Computer Information Systems from the University of Northern Arizona. She graduated with a bachelor of science in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles, and an advanced certification in Human Resources and Business Leadership from the University of California, Irvine.
Srinivas Velamoor
PRESIDENT AND CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER
Bio
Srinivas (Sri) Velamoor joined NextGen Healthcare in July 2021 as Chief Growth & Strategy Officer and Executive Vice President and was named President and Chief Operating Officer in January 2024. Sri brings two decades of experience in driving growth and performance at leading global healthcare, financial services and technology organizations and leads the company’s corporate development, strategy, solutions and business development functions, along with the NextGen® Connected Health Solutions and NextGen® Office business lines.Previously, Sri served as partner and health sector leader for McKinsey & Company’s North America digital and analytics and ‘Leap’ business building practices. Over a decade at McKinsey, he orchestrated the growth and scale-up of the firm’s healthcare technology and digital health practices and led end-to-end growth and performance transformations at several leading global healthcare institutions. He also led the end-to-end design, launch and commercial acceleration of multiple businesses in the areas of consumer health, analytics, virtual health, digital therapeutics, payments and technology services.
Before joining McKinsey & Company, Velamoor was a partner at both PricewaterhouseCoopers and Diamond Management & Technology Consultants, where he advised industry leading firms in financial services and healthcare.
Sri earned an MBA in Finance from The Wharton School at The University of Pennsylvania, and a BSE in Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Economics from Duke University.
Jeffrey Linton
EXECUTIVE VICE PRESIDENT, GENERAL COUNSEL, AND SECRETARY
Bio
Jeff Linton was appointed executive vice president, general counsel, and secretary effective December 4, 2017. Bringing extensive healthcare experience to the role, Jeff leads the company's legal affairs, regulatory, and compliance groups.Most recently, Jeff served as general counsel and secretary of Applied Proteomics, Inc., a company that developed noninvasive, blood-based tests for monitoring and early detection of disease. He oversaw all legal, intellectual property, compliance, and human resources activities. Previously, Jeff was senior vice president, general counsel, and secretary of Sequenom, Inc., a life sciences company. His experience includes similar roles and responsibilities at Beckman Coulter, Inc., a biomedical testing products company, Serologicals Corporation, a producer of life science research products and technologies, diagnostic kits, and drug discovery services and Solvay Pharmaceuticals, Inc., a branded pharmaceutical company.
Jeff graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor's degree from Butler University. He earned a Juris Doctorate, cum laude, from the University of Notre Dame Law School.
Robert Murry, PhD, MD, FAAFP
Chief Medical Officer
Bio
Dr. Robert (Bob) Murry joined NextGen Healthcare in July 2012 and was appointed chief medical officer in December 2021. He brings to this position more than 20 years of extensive clinical experience and background in health IT. Previously, Dr. Murry served as the company’s Chief Medical Information Officer (CMIO) since May 2017. During his time as CMIO, he was the "Voice-of-the-Physician" across specialties, product safety, and government/regulatory affairs. Before becoming CMIO, he was the company's vice president of Clinical Product Management, responsible for clinical oversight and workflow design.Previously, Dr. Murry served as Medical Director for Ambulatory Informatics and CMIO for Hunterdon Medical Center, where he continues to practice family medicine at Hunterdon Family Medicine at Delaware Valley.
He is board certified in Clinical Informatics by the American Board of Preventive Medicine and board certified in Family Medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine. He is also a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians. Dr. Murry holds an MD from The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas; a PhD in Physical Chemistry from Boston College; and an MA in Physical Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
Katie Chaffee
CHIEF CLIENT OFFICER
Bio
Katie was appointed to the newly created role of chief client officer for NextGen Healthcare, effective January 10, 2022. She leads the Company’s client, professional and managed services. With over 20 years of healthcare experience working in health systems, information technology implementation and performance improvement, Katie is committed to creating long-term strategic value for clients.Prior to joining NextGen Healthcare, Katie held leadership roles at Cerner Corporation in worldwide consulting services, population health, client relationship development and transformation. Before she joined Cerner, Katie was a senior consultant with PricewaterhouseCoopers, responsible for implementing SAP solutions in the high-tech industry.
She serves on the Xavier University Health Services Administration Advisory Board, JOCO United Board Member, Accountable Care Learning Collaborative, and is a SCORE Certified Mentor.
Katie received her bachelor’s degree in business administration and economics from the University of Kansas and a certificate in healthcare leadership from University of Missouri Kansas City.
Mitch Waters
CHIEF REVENUE OFFICER
Bio
Mitch Waters joined NextGen Healthcare in 2017 and was appointed Chief Revenue Officer in January 2024 where he is responsible for sales and marketing. Previously, Mitch was the company's Executive Vice President of Commercial Growth. With more than three decades of experience in healthcare technology, Mitch has served in a wide variety of leadership roles. He has led the Sales organization to record heights while also serving as a member of the Executive Leadership Team.Prior to NextGen Healthcare, Mitch spent 28 years at McKesson Corporation in leadership roles within the technology, automation and pharmaceutical business units. During his 25 years in Sales at McKesson, Mitch’s teams earned an unprecedented track record of achieving company objectives every year.
While employed full-time at McKesson, Mitch earned a Master of Business Administration from Auburn University. Mitch earned his B.S. in Industrial Management from Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, Georgia.
Mitch is based in Atlanta, Georgia. He has been married to his college sweetheart, Lisa, for 32 years and they raised three children together (now grown): Zach, Caroline and Drew.
Steven Kilby
Chief Technology Officer
Bio
Steven joined NextGen Healthcare in January 2017 as senior vice president and head of engineering. He was named chief technology officer in April 2023 and is responsible for the company’s product development function and technology strategy. Steven has over 30 years of experience, including leading large, global product and engineering organizations.
Prior to NextGen Healthcare, Steven served as senior vice president of software engineering at ACI Worldwide, a global leader in mission-critical and real-time payments technology. He was previously vice president of product development at Kofax, a leader in intelligent automation platforms. Steven has held positions at all levels of product and technology throughout his extensive career and has led multiple technology and product transformations.
Steven received his bachelor's degree from the University of Cincinnati in Information Systems and completed the Stanford Executive Institute, Management Science and Engineering.
David Slazyk
CHIEF INFORMATION & SECURITY OFFICER
Bio
David joined NextGen Healthcare as data privacy, security, and risk officer in November 2013 and he was named chief information and security officer in 2020. He leads the information systems department at NextGen Healthcare, including enterprise applications, infrastructure and operations, and data privacy, security, and risk. His team creates and delivers IT solutions and services across NextGen Healthcare's global footprint in both the United States and India.David leads the strategic planning of business operations into enterprise applications, including composite hardware, software, and network resources and services required for the company’s enterprise IT environment. He’s also responsible for the confidentiality and integrity of all company data, plus compliance with all privacy laws.
After serving in the U.S. Navy, David worked in many IT and IT security roles throughout his civilian IT career including senior director, security officer & network architect at Mirth LLC. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration and management from California State University, Fullerton.
